Stephen has over 37 years experience within the accounting and financial services industry with a focus on accounting, taxation, business management and superannuation in the small to medium enterprise (SME) sector. He has been with DFK Gooding Partners since its inception in March 1998 and has been a Partner of DFK Gooding Partners, working with the other Partners to grow the firm from a 6 person firm to almost 50 people. He has a broad range of accounting, taxation and commercial experience in the SME market, servicing his clients across a diverse range of industries. Stephen enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve their goals using innovation and his broad experience in the SME environment. Stephen was appointed Managing Partner at DFK Gooding Partners in July 2015.
Having played an integral part in the success of DFK Gooding Partners, Stephen enjoys sharing his experience with clients, giving them the insight to achieve success faster.

He has been involved in a number of property development syndicates responsible for several residential property developments and subdivisions in Western Australia.
As the human resources partner at DFK Gooding Partners, Stephen takes a very hands-on approach to the support and development of all staff and inspires them to push their personal boundaries to achieve success.
Stephen is a Director of DFK International. In July 2023, Stephen was appointed President of DFK International Limited. It is the first time an Australian member has held the position.
Outside of the accounting world, Stephen enjoys time with his partner Melanie and their daughter Maddison. He is also a keen fisherman and enjoys scuba diving.
